Mooba app for iPhone and iPad

Mooba is designed to allow local businesses within an area to share existing transport capacity, while providing a familiar ride-share style interface to visitors allowing them to book transport more easily in places which are often challenging to move around (such as ski resorts in foreign countries). For the 2018/2019 ski season service is limited to Hakuba, Japan.


Mooba connects users with local area transport options and allows local businesses to share their existing vehicle capacity.

Designed for use in places which are often hard to navigate or have limited public transport services (such as ski resorts) Mooba uses geolocation and advanced scheduling capabilities combined with a large database of local hotels, bars and restaurants to allow visitors to easily find and book transport.

Mooba makes it easy for you to access local services quickly, whether or not they are provided at your accommodation, by linking and sharing resources from various local operators including existing local licensed taxi companies.

Your Mooba account can be linked to a participating business to make life simple and consolidate rides into a single payment. All rides are easily tracked in your personal history for live balance updates.

Typical problems such as lack of conventional street naming systems or familiarity with the local area are overcome through a database of key points of interest sorted by proximity. Finding your accommodation is also easy as the database includes local lodges, hotels and hostels.

Service is currently limited to Hakuba, Japan, for the 2018/2019 ski season but Mooba will subsequently roll out services in other locations.
